[ print advertising: AOL ]

Worked with the grease monkeys at Sparky’s Garage to develop these concepts for a pitch — unfortunately, just prior to AOL’s big shake up. Apparently they got portal envy and the company has been reinvented yet again. That’s okay, the pitch was damn fun to work on. Long live Running Man.

And in another twist, earlier this month my friends at Sparky’s Garage merged with Qorvis Communications (who I also do some work with). I really like the pairing of these two companies. They’re now the only firm in the area that can deliver full-service advertising, new media, marcom and public / media relations on a national and international stage. Congrats to them. And I definitely look forward to working again with the Qorvis Qrew.

[ website design: www.tinaphoto.com ]

Designed this site for local DC area photographer, Tina Williams: www.tinaphoto.com. Hadn’t worked with her for many years, glad to reconnect. Very talented, very professional. Give her a shout for your next project at tina@tinaphoto.com.

Also, thx to Todd McMahon for his Flash artistry and programming work. He’s been part of the Mertz Alliance network since the beginning. Hired him years ago as New Media Director at my first agency and we’ve been collaborating ever since. Check out his great design and programming work at: www.modernation.com.

[ The ONE Holiday Party ]

Chairing this HUGE party in Washington, DC. Part of my gig on the Board of the DC Adclub.

The One Holiday Party and Art Auction is on for December 6, 6:00pm–11:00pm, at the Hotel Palomar, 2121 P St., NW. The Palomar is DC’s newest Kimpton boutique hotel. Really cool “arts” theme throughout. Had a meeting there recently and came away with a great first impression.

The One Party is the first event of its kind and is co-hosted by the following groups: Adclub of Metropolitan Washington, Advertising Photographers of America DC, American Marketing Association DC, Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington, Public Relations Society of America-National Capital Chapter and the DC Communicator. Big thx goes out to Paul Duning at EFX Media for springing for the band, Ally at Potomac Management Resources (Adclub office), and all of the other volunteers from the co-host groups.

Mertz Alliance [Mighty Creative] is a silver sponsor. Bringing my lovely wife (hot date) and a handful of clients.

Hey, wanna go? Or maybe donate some of your killer artwork for the silent art auction to benefit the Adclub Foundation? CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
Can’t make it? Check back in December to see how it went...
